There was a shop called Les Leston. You could buy every type of racing gear at their shop in London. Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, Jack Brabham, everybody went there.  I got everything from there, my racing suit, my gloves, my boots and even my Heuer stopwatch!

1968 Brands Hatch with Frank Williams. I won the race.

We are discussing gear ratios.

 23rd June 1968 Mallory Park. I won the race.

27th July 1968 Silverstone. I am leading François Cévert of works Tecno at the Martini International Trophy and I became the first Japanese ever to win a “International” car race history in UK.

I am leading Charles Lucas of works Titan.

I won many races for Frank Williams in 1968.

At the Williams’s workshop in Slough. Japanese AUTO SPORT August 1968. 

25th August 1968. François Cévert works Tecno, me and John Miles Team Lotus at Zandvoort, Holland.I finished in 2nd against two works Tecnos, Team Lotus, two DAF works cars. I got a fastest lap record.

15th September 1968 Reims, France. I am talking to Frank just before the race. François Cévert won the race and I finished in 3rd. Frank very impressed my result because I started from the 16th starting grid and I finished within one second from the winner!  For me any racing track in the continent are first time and I never raced outside of UK before 1968 except Nürburgring.

 9th November 1968 Oulton Park. I won the race.

I worn Team Williams jacket everywhere. When I washing my carand when I go to see my girl friend in Switzerland !

Still I have the car! I am keeping it at the my atelier now.

２０２１年８月お盆休み明け、ようやくシロマさんのペイント・ブースに入庫！

フロント・ウインドウ下のワイパー・モーター周りの黒のプラスティック・パネルを自分で外して中を徹底的に掃除しました。そんなとこまで見る人まず居ないでしょうけど、そんなとこまで掃除する人、もっと居ないでしょうね。でもクルマのこう言う部分って、特に屋外駐車しているクルマは、それはもう悲惨な状態になっています。

これは、このクルマではないのですが、英国で見つけた「奇跡の 997」の場合。これはそれ程酷くはありませんでしたが、内部はこんな風になっていました。でも常時屋外駐車のクルマは、こんなもんではありません。それは悲惨な状態が多いです。

アタシ達が掃除すると、この様になります！

ここまで確りとカバーする人、プロテクトする人、そうは他に居ないでしょう。見ていけば、何故ここまでやるのかが分かります。

GT3RS のフロント・バンパーやサイド・ステップを、まず仮取付。

アフター・マーケットの FRP 製品の多くは、その作りが悪く隙間だらけ！

シロマさんでは、そんな細かいとこも、丹念に修正していきます。

クラッシック・カーのレストアでもあるまいし、ただの 996 の塗り替えを、ここまでしてやる人、又は、ここまでやってくれるペイント屋さんは、他にそうは居ません。

ウインドウ・ガラスは全て外し、ドアーも外しています！　よくぞここまでと思うでしょ。

３ヶ月をかけて、ボディー改修、ペイント作業が、ようやく終わります。

ワークショップに戻ってきました。まるで新車！　シロマさん、素晴らしい仕事をしました！

富士スピードウエイ近辺のレース屋さん達では知らない人はいない、エートスさんにステッカー・チューニングを！

GT3RS が、完成！（正確には、GT3RS もどきが、完成！）

Before.　この写真からも完成までに１年もかかっているのが分かりますよね。

これがホンモノの GT3RS！　ホンモノはレース用なので車高が低い。ですが街を乗るにはガチガチで乗れたもんではありません。キャバクラのオネエさんを乗せたら大不評になります。しかもギアー・チェンジを絶えずしなければならないので片手は空きません！　まさに今回のポイントはここにあります！

これが、アタシの GT3RS もどき。見ての通りオートマです！

イタリーのステアリング・ホィール・メーカーで有名な NARDI の日本の代理店 FET さんが、996 用のステアリング・ホィールを提供してくれました。標準のステアリング・ホィールよりも小径、グリップはこの太さ！ 握った時の感じが実に素晴らしい！　さすがイタリーの老舗！ 996 のオーナーは試すべき！　http://www.fet-japan.co.jp/nardi/

いつもお世話になっている近所のキーパー・ラボでコーティング。もう完全に新車状態！

皆さんは、F1 とか Moto GP とかは見ていますか？　スタート時は晴れていていたのでドライ用のタイヤでスタートしたのが、途中から雨が降り出してそれは大騒ぎになるのを？　当初このクルマ用に選んだタイヤは過激な走り屋さん用のダンロップ DIREZZA でした。これ晴天時用のレース用タイヤではありません。で、でもアタシ、このタイヤでは豪雨の東名高速を怖くて走れそうにありません！　そこで調べたらダンロップ・グループの FALKEN ブランドで、996 GT3 指定サイズでウエット・コンディションに特化したタイヤがあるのが分かり交換することにしました。「奇跡の２台」の 997 型にも、このタイヤをチョイスしました。ちなみに FALKEN は、ポルシェ社の新車装着でマカンなどに採用されているブランドのタイヤです。又、ドイツのニュルブルクリンク２４時間レースに行った人達は皆知っていますが、FALKEN は、このレースにポルシェで毎年参加するなど、ヨーロッパではよく知られたブランドのタイヤです。

皆さんは、自分のクルマのタイヤは、どのような基準で選んでいるんでしょうか。まさか値段で選んでいませんよね？　タイヤのチョイス、タイヤの維持管理は、アクセルとブレーキの踏み間違いをしない、高速道路の逆走をしないと同じくらいに重要だって、分かっているんでしょうか。

２０２１年の８月始め、丁度アタシの７９歳の誕生日の８月２１日の直前、英国ウェールズ地方に住む女の子から一通の Eメールが、ロンドンに住んでいるムスメのとこへ届きました。その彼女が言うには「父親は中古車の販売をしているのだけど、最近ポルシェ 911 を１台仕入れました。このクルマ、もしかして Tetsu Ikuzawa のクルマではありませんか」との問い合わせです。

My daughter Mai recived an email from a girl who lives in Wales、UK beginning of August 2021 just before the my 79th Birthday of 21st of August.
She says;Regent Park, London, UK in 2008.

London, UK in 2008 with the private plate T3TSU that my daughter gave me for my birthday one year!  So sweet!!

これが、その父と娘です。このクルマは１２年前、５０年間も住んだロンドンを引き上げて老後は日本でと決めたので、帰国前に売りました。８月２１日はアタシの７９歳の誕生日！　もう、これは運命です！　誕生日のプレゼントとして、見もしないで即決で購入です！　それにしても、このインターネット時代ならではの出来事です。この娘さんが、最初のオーナーが Tetsu Ikuzawa だと気が付いて、世界中を検索してロンドンのアタシのムスメのとこへ辿り着いて、アタシへと繋がらなければ起こらなかったハナシです。正にインターネット時代に感謝。ちなみにボンネットに広げてある旗、何だか分かる人は英国人。

Thy contacted to Mai beginning of August 2021 after I sold this car 12 years ago.
And I bought it back from them just before my 79th Birthday of 21st August!
Thanks to them that they tried to track the original owner Tetsu Ikuzawa and authenticate it. They found me!  Thanks to the internet age also.
Very nice present for the my 79th Birthday!

９月２４日、成田国際空港。無事ロンドンから到着。

The car just arrived at Narita Tokyo Airport on Friday 24th September 2021 from London.

そして、このクルマが日本に到着した明くる日の９月２５日の真夜中、アタシのポルシェ友達の一人から一通の Eメールが。「これ、生沢さんのクルマでは？」アタシは、もう絶句しました！　もう信じられません！　どう言うこと！

And I received an email from one of the my Porsche friend in Japan on Saturday 25th September 2021 midnight.
He says “Is this your car?” 
Can you believe this!!!!

Yes it is!  2008 in Monaco.  そうです！ このクルマです！

このクルマは１２年前、ヨーロッパでの生活をやめて日本に引き上げることになったので、帰国前にモナコで売りました。で、でも、そのモナコで売却したクルマが、な、なぜ、日本の栃木県宇都宮市の中古車屋さんにあるの！！！　それもマツダ３、スズキ・ワゴン R、ダイハツ・タント、ホンダ・フィット、トヨタ・プリウス、カワサキのバイクと一緒に並べて売られているではありませんか！！！　どう言うこと！！！

I sold this car 12 years ago in Monaco. 
Why is this car located at the used car shop in the country side of Japan with MAZDA 3, SUZUKI SWIFT, TOYOTA PRIUS, HONDA CIVIC and KAWASAKI Motorcycles!!!!

一体何が起こっているのでしょうか！　もう信じられません！　これは、もう奇跡としか言いようがありません！　アタシは、ただ、ただ、呆然としていました！　今でも、こんな事が起こったことが信じられません。

信じられない事が続きます！

勿論、買うしかないですよね！　見もしないで即決で購入です！

CRAZY STORY!!!!  Crazy coincidence continues…!!

Just a day after I’m reunited with my Porsche from London and arrived in Tokyo, another miracle happens near Fuji Speedway in 2021 after 13 years again!

１３年後、ロンドンからの 911 が東京に到着した次の日、後ろに見えるモナコからの 911 と２台の 911 に、御殿場ワークショップで奇跡の再会をします。

The last time my 2 cars were together at Porsche AG., Porscheplatz 1, Stuttgart, Germany in 2008 before I sold them.

この２台の 911 が揃ったのは、売却前の２００８年、ポルシェ本社で以来です。凄いハナシでしょ！

I received it accompanied by a letter from Porsche HQ.
Tetsu Ikuzawa is the only Asian in the book!In fact Ralph Lauren was planned for this section, however, at last minute the Porsche executives thought this was a bit boring, so they decided to cover my story instead. The Porsche representatives went all the way to NYC to apologise to Ralph and soon after the Marketing representative and other project leaders from Porsche HQ came to visit me in Japan to explain the situation. In today’s email communication era, I was flattered that they visited me face-to-face.

2020.
’Tetsu Ikuzawa’ has a special feature in the issue no. 015 of ‘000’, a very high-end Porsche specialist magazine from the US.‘000’ featured my full and comprehensive Porsche story and covers over 70 pages! There are hundreds of Porsche magazines but even Dr Porsche probably never had such an extended story ever in a magazine!
